Fully vaccinated people across the country no longer need to wear masks outdoors and in most indoor settings.
That guidance, announced last week by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has spawned confusion, with a number of businesses, places of worship and, in some cases, local governments opting to maintain mask requirements.
And the CDC still recommends masks in health care settings, as well as in transportation hubs like airports and in planes, trains and other public automobiles.
Marion County recently extended its mask mandate, and Hoosiers in the area need to wear masks to enter almost all public indoor places, including restaurants and stores. Most other counties in Indiana, however, no longer require masks
