Muncie Mission Ministries offers short- and long-term support. This includes immediate and/or long term for the working poor and needy of East Central Indiana, including Delaware and Blackford County. Energy Assistance Program, or EAP, can help pay heating bills, and a crisis component can help those faced with an emergency. The Weatherization Program can also help people save money on their energy bills. Grants and cash assistance is offered. 765-254-1790.
Delaware County Division of Family Social Services administers the IMPACT program. This is an employment and job training program for food stamp and TANF recipients. The IMPACT program takes a multigenerational approach to addressing welfare dependency and helping people become self-sufficient. Dial 765-668-5341.
