ADDITIONAL DOSE RECOMMENDED
If you are moderately to severely immunocompromised. Last week the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended people with specific conditions get an additional dose of Moderna or Pfizer* COVID-19 vaccine. (The additional dose must be at least 28 days past the second dose, You do not need a doctor’s order but will likely be asked to provide verbal confirmation of eligibility.)
People in this group include:
- Recipients of organ or stem cell transplants
- People with advanced or untreated HIV infection
- People currently undergoing treatment for cancer
- People who are taking certain medications that suppress their immune system
